How ScanDoc works
ScanDoc turns photos of documents, receipts and book pages into a clean PDF, right from your phone or computer. There is no sign-up and the PDF has no watermark.

- Check the edgesScanDoc finds the edges of the page and straightens it. If needed, drag the four corners by hand.
- Pick a filterColor, gray or black and white: the page is cleaned up and made easy to read. You can rotate it and change the page order.
- Create the PDFDownload or share the PDF. With the OCR option the text becomes searchable and copyable.

Is ScanDoc really free?
Yes. ScanDoc is free, with no sign-up and no watermark on your PDFs.
Are my documents uploaded to a server?
No. Everything happens in your browser: your photos and PDFs are never sent to our servers. Your pages stay only in this browser until you remove them with "Delete all".
Can I scan several pages into one PDF?
Yes. Add as many pages as you like, change the order by pressing and holding ◀ or ▶, and create a single PDF.
How do I get a PDF with searchable text?
When you create the PDF, turn on "Searchable text (OCR, slower)". The text is recognized on your device and the PDF becomes searchable. For now the recognition reads Italian text.
Does it work on a phone and on a computer?
Yes. On a phone you take the photo with the camera, on a computer you choose images from your disk. You can also install the site as an app from your browser.
Can I use it offline?
Yes, if you have opened ScanDoc at least once while online: the page and its tools stay saved on your device.
